Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world. – 1 Peter 4:13 (NLT)
I can not remember where I read or heard that the problem with our life is that we only see the back of our canvas where God sees our finished painting. Today, Melinda and I got to see a glimpse of God’s majestic work on her canvas. Last Tuesday, Melinda had another MRI. Today we met with Radiology and Oncology. Radiology told us everything looked good and that we would not need to see them again as Oncology would do everything going forward. We left feeling better but we’re not really sure what that meant exactly. We then met with Oncology. Oncology was very positive, showed us all the MRI scans Melinda has had and said Tuesday’s scan looked better than expected. I’m not a doctor but to me, it looked perfect compared to the scan I saw back in July. We can’t Praise the LORD enough for this wonderful news today.
Melinda still has a road to travel. It may be long or short, but I have no doubts that God will use it for his glory. Melinda is still having stomach issues and needs to start her next round of chemo which will be five days a week each month for the next six months to possibly a year. Before she starts, Oncology wants to rule out any type of Autoimmune Disease that may be causing stomach issues. They are going to run some more tests. In the meantime, we just continue to pray that God will cast out any ailments Melinda still has and use her to show others his healing powers.
We pray that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are looking forward to celebrating the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ during this Christmas Season.
