HE IS RISEN!!!
What a glorious day!!! Three days after Satan thought he had won, Jesus arose from the grave, in what we refer to as the resurrection.
According to wikipedia, “The resurrection of Jesus, or anastasis is the Christian belief that God raised Jesus after his crucifixion as first of the dead, starting his exalted life as Christ and Lord. In Christian theology, the death and resurrection of Jesus are the most important events, a foundation of the Christian faith, and commemorated by Easter. His resurrection is the guarantee that all the Christian dead will be resurrected at Christ’s second coming. For the Christian tradition, the bodily resurrection was the restoration to life of a transformed body powered by spirit, as described by Paul and the Gospels, that led to the establishment of Christianity.
There is a lot of focus on the cross and the death of Jesus. Just one problem with that; we all die. The real focus should be on the resurrection. Jesus not only died, but he came back to life three days later and with the resurrection came the promise of eternal life for all those that believe in him.
DO YOU BELIEVE? WE DO!
I have heard several ideas as to what Christ did for the three days between His death and resurrection, but the fact is the Bible is not really clear about it. It is one of those things I hope to learn when I meet, Yeshua. What I believe the Bible does make clear is that Jesus, will not be giving anyone a second chance for salvation after death. Hebrews 9:27 says man dies and faces judgment, not a second chance. If you do not know Jesus, now is the time.
DO YOU KNOW THE GOSPEL (Good News)?
God created us to be with Him. (Genesis 1-2)
Our sins separate us from God. (Genesis 3)
Sins cannot be removed by good deeds. (Genesis 4 – Malachi 4)
Paying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again. (Matthew – Luke)
Everyone who trusts in Him alone has eternal life. (John)
Life with Jesus starts now and lasts forever. (Acts – Revelation)
We would love to tell you about Jesus before it is too late. As of this posting, there are 20,601 confirmed deaths in the United States from the Coronavirus. How many of those did not accept the GOSPEL and will not get a second chance. It pains my heart to think they may suffer in an eternal lake of fire. Open your heart and come to Jesus. His arms are open and ready.
