Unlike Mother’s Day, it seems that Father’s Day is more emotional for many. I think this may be because our fallen world does not value Fathers the way it use to and many men do not take the role of being a father as seriously as they should. There are those that do not know who their father is, there are those that wish they did not because of the abuse, and there or others that had a great father, but no father compares to the ultimate FATHER we have in GOD. No matter your experience with an earthly father, just know that your FATHER in Heaven loves you more than you can ever imagine.
My father was and continues to be a great example of an earthly father. I was truly blessed to have such a supportive father that encouraged me and disciplined me when I needed it. I did my best to be a good father to my own children. I know I failed in some areas and succeeded in others, but the ultimate success will be to see them in Heaven one day.
If you do not know the ultimate FATHER, it is not too late. I pray that regardless of your experience with an earthly father, you come to know the love of GOD, the FATHER, that will never let you down, always has your best interest in mind, and loves you unconditionally. After all, he made a way through his son Jesus so that we could be with him forever.
