Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. – Romans 5:9 (ESV)
Today, we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our LORD, and Savior. If you have never heard the expression “rose-colored glasses” or “beer goggles” then this analogy may not make sense to you. Jesus died on the cross for my SINS and in so doing I like to think Jesus provided God with what I like to refer to as “blood-colored goggles”. God can use them to look at a sinner like me as they wash me in the shed blood of the ultimate lamb sacrifice, Jesus. Melinda and I pray daily that if you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus that you come to find one. As Jesus made it very clear in John 14:6; “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Don’t let anyone try to tell you there are different ways to God.
This week, Melinda has been doing a lot better. She has been riding a stationary bike and eating more. This morning she was even able to walk into a church for the first time since the beginning of September. It was a joy to have both our children home to celebrate Easter. We all continue to pray for healing as well as thanking God that Melinda is improving. Melinda goes back for an MRI in a few weeks. We are praying that when the doctors see the results they are shocked to see what God can do with the power of Prayer.
We again want to thank each of you for your prayers. We ask that you continue to keep Melinda in them. We also encourage you to add others that are battling cancer. If you would like us and others to pray for you or others you can post them on our church’s prayer wall at https://www.lbcbelton.org/prayers/. Melinda and I try our best to pray through all of them at least once a day.
HE HAS RISEN!!!!
