As I write this, I am not sure if I am considered homeless or just a nomad by the government. I have a mailing address and find myself moving about so I guess I am a nomad. This makes me ponder, as a follower of Jesus and a member of his kingdom can we ever be truly homeless as this world is not our home? Our home is in Heaven after all Jesus said “My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” – John 14:2-3
You probably guessed that I sold my house. I want to say THANK YOU to all those that prayed for it to move quickly. It was a long year getting it ready to sell. When it was listed the number of viewings and offers in just a few days was a bit overwhelming. It is a bitter-sweet feeling to have closed and left it behind. I pray that the new owners will enjoy it as much as we did. I have discovered that it is a great time to sell a house, but not such a good time to purchase one. I have faith, GOD will provide the house he wants me to be in as I feel the Holy Spirit leading me towards something amazing.
I have never been much of a people person, but lately, I find myself being more social. I can only attribute that change to the Holy Spirit within me. It seems to me that lately, many people are angry or in pain. I believe they need to see JOY in those of us that follow Christ. The one attribute I will never forget about Melinda was her JOY throughout all the pain she faced; it left an everlasting impact on my heart. James 1:2-3 states “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” Showing JOY during the hard times is one of the best witnesses we can have to a non-believer.
If you do not have the joy and peace that comes with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, I pray for you to find it before it is too late. The return of KING JESUS is getting closer and closer. When He gathers his followers you do not want to be left behind. Please know that GOD will not send anyone to hell, but he will let you choose to go there if you want. It is an easy choice for you to make; accept the free gift God gives through his Son dying on the cross for our sins (Heaven) or reject it (Hell). I pray that you choose to join me in Following Jesus.
