Ephesians 6:18 New Living Translation (NLT)
This Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday. It is estimated that 98.2 million people watched last years Super Bowl. This year on Sunday, February 2nd Kurt Warner will be leading the nation virtually in a prayer for cancer care givers as part of the 30 Days of Cancer Prayer event. Could you imagine if 100 million people joined in these prayers? Could you imagine what American would be like if people followed Jesus with as much zeal as they follow sports?
I pray that you will join me in praying daily for those battling cancer and the families and caregivers of those individuals. You can use this prayer card to focus your cancer based prayers each day. Please pray specifically for Melinda’s caregivers on Feb 2nd and for those battling Brain Cancer on Feb 22nd.
Melinda had another round of Chemo today in Austin. The drive was hard on her as her stomach has started hurting again. Praise the LORD, that we did get confirmation that her next treatment will be at Texas Oncology in Waco. The shorter drive for treatments is a blessing. We thank Jesus, that she is still eating and drinking as she definitely needs the energy. She is very weak and has a hard time getting out of bed. I think a lot of it is a result of all the medications to fight the cancer and the side effects of treatment. Through it all we continue to pray YAHWEH-RAPHA [yah-way-raw-faw], “The LORD who Heals” will heal her body and mind.
Many say they know Jesus but you would not know it by their actions. We pray that you have a personal relationship with Jesus, spend time in the BIBLE each day, and your actions show Jesus to others.
DO YOU KNOW THE GOSPEL (Good News)?
God created us to be with Him. (Genesis 1-2)
Our sins separate us from God. (Genesis 3)
Sins cannot be removed by good deeds. (Genesis 4 – Malachi 4)
Paying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again. (Matthew – Luke)
Everyone who trusts in Him alone has eternal life. (John)
Life with Jesus starts now and lasts forever. (Acts – Revelation)
If you don’t know Jesus we would love to tell you all about him.
